JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary/Overview The Columbus McKinnon Summer Internship program is a full-time, paid opportunity that will run over the summer. You will work within your department and meet as a larger intern group throughout the summer. In the HR department, you will learn day to day activities in each HR function, work one on one with your intern leader and complete a project. The project will be presented at the end of the internship program, with the rest of the summer interns. There are community and social events throughout the summer. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Maintain appropriate confidentiality in dealing with company and employee information Provide exceptional customer service to our business units and employees Learn about benefits, compensation and payroll at Columbus McKinnon Gain overview of the Talent Acquisition process. Learn about sourcing, review resumes, schedule interviews, and learn the full-cycle recruitment process Learn and conduct stay and exit interviews, and employee investigations, as needed Support division process/compliance improvement projects Create reports on the HR-related process when required Address queries and issues of workers when required Assist the HR team in organizing special events Benchmark other companies and establish new policies Other duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, Competencies, and Abilities Understanding the value of customer service in the HR environment Understanding of Human Resources practices and terminology Basic understanding of labor legislation and employment laws Working knowledge of MS Office or database systems, HRIS Excellent planning and organizational skills Exceptional verbal and written communication skills Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks Exceptional attention to detail Strong work ethic Good time management skills Ability to work independently Required Qualifications Must be a rising junior or senior enrolled in a full-time Bachelor\'s degree program Applicants must have authorization to work in the United States.
