The Segment Manager Role
The Segment Team identifies and leads programs based on deep knowledge of customer needs to drive growth in existing markets, and/or pave the way for entry into new industries, channels, or geographies within the Americas.
Responsibilities
- Develop deep customer and market knowledge through market, competitor, and VOC research to inform and enhance the segment's commercial and inventory strategy.
- Increase customer acquisition or loyalty by implementing activities that drive conversion: product, price, promotion, and channel development (e.g., Condition Monitoring System solutions, Digital Marketing, Ecommerce).
- Identify and implement marketing, inventory, and training programs to increase NSK's market share and segment leadership.
- Work closely with Sales, BU Marketing Specialists, and BU Leaders to execute segment playbook to identify key accounts, accelerate wins, and maximize NSK sales and profitability.
- Develop proposals to drive organic and inorganic growth to strengthen segment strategy, including product localization, new channels, and M&A.
- Coordinate the formulation and ensure viability of the business plan for the segment, for all channels and business units.
- Communicate strategy, industry trends, wins/best practices, and countermeasures across all functional groups, including Sales, Engineering, BCD, Inside Sales, Marketing, TNSK, and key manufacturing plants.

- P&C OEMs
- Heavy Industry
- Chemical Manufacturing
- Cryogenics
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, and 10 or more years of position-related experience.
- Proven success in leading programs with a cross-functional team to win new accounts, increase sales and profitability.
- Working knowledge of CRM (preferably Salesforce) and ERP systems.
- Working knowledge of marketing campaigns, analytics, and platforms (digital expertise is preferred).
