Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive administrative assistance to attorneys, including managing schedules, preparing correspondence, and handling phone calls.
- Draft, edit, and proofread legal documents, such as pleadings, contracts, and memos, ensuring accuracy and compliance with formatting requirements.
- Prepare and file documents with state and federal courts, including electronic filing systems (e.g., CM/ECF and local e-filing systems).
- Maintain and update attorney calendars, schedule appointments, hearings, and depositions, and track deadlines to ensure timely filings and submissions.
- Organize, maintain, and retrieve case files and records, ensuring all documents are up-to-date and properly filed (physical and electronic).
- ]Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel, relaying information and scheduling as needed.
- Assist with billing tasks, including time entry, expense tracking, and generating client invoices.
- Perform basic legal research and gather necessary information as directed by attorneys.
