Job Summary and Qualifications

Senior level position responsible for driving profitable growth, managing a portfolio of market level service lines, and ensuring collaboration across all care settings in a manner that leverages the collective market strength and position of HCA in the market. The position will report to the SVP of Business Development and will have direct reports potentially including Service Line Administrators, Marketing Directors, Physician Sales Teams, Physician Recruitment, DSS, and education. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The essential responsibilities and accountabilities of this position including interactions with other departments and outside vendors, if applicable, in PRIORITY order: Set overall strategy for the portfolio of all market level service lines in

all

settings, including: Work closely with Hospital CEOs for all matters pertaining to profitable service line growth. Oversee business planning and program development. Determine capital allocation, system configuration, and capacity planning. Engage national service line leaders, the division/market Chief Medical Officer, managed care, and supply chain to plan for emerging trends in terms of quality improvement, clinical protocols, technology, reimbursement, medical management, and supply utilization. Manage activities related to growing business, including: Physician Recruitment and Retention in coordination with HCAPS. Sales Initiatives (including CRM tools and processes). Marketing & Branding. Market level intelligence on competitors and consumers. Direct service line development, implementation, and management activities, including: Supervise planning process and implementation activities with Division and Hospital Leadership. Participate in budgeting process. Improve service line profitability (e.g., cost structure). Ensure service line quality (e.g., clinical outcomes, credentialing/privileging, processes, services, satisfaction). Service Line Portfolio Performance Metrics: Market share stabilization/growth. Net revenue & volume growth. Contribution and EBDITA Margins (Service Line P&Ls). Quality & Process Indicators (e.g., core measures). Successful service line development and implementation. Physician Retention and Loyalty rates. What qualifications you will need:

In-depth and up-to-date knowledge of hospital administration typically acquired through the completion of a Master’s degree in hospital administration. Knowledge of the healthcare field as well as refined managerial skills. Minimum of 5 years (10 years preferred) in Cardiovascular Services, with at least half of those years in Cardiovascular leadership (preferably in a program with full Cardiovascular Services). Healthcare (C-Suite level experience) in a large, complex, Multi-site organization in a complex market. ACHE preferred. HCA Midwest Health
