Job Description - Sr. Software Engineer
Position Overview: We're hiring a
Sr. Software Engineer
at our Sterling Heights, MI office. This role involves developing and integrating software for military combat vehicles, including simulation, testing, and system integration.
Key Responsibilities:
Analyze, develop, and manage software requirements. Research and prototype solutions to meet customer needs. Perform trade studies, system modeling, and algorithm development. Develop and test vehicle software, leveraging tools like Git, Jira, and MATLAB/Simulink. Support integration and testing of military systems, including hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) and system-integration labs (SIL). Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues during system testing. Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Computer Science, Systems, etc.). 15+ years of software engineering experience, including real-time OS and embedded C/C++. Familiarity with software development tools, protocols (e.g., J1939 CANBus, Ethernet), and hardware integration. U.S. Security Clearance eligibility. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Preferred:
Master's degree in Engineering. Experience with U.S. DoD vehicle requirements, VICTORY, FACE, and MOSA standards. Knowledge of military systems, power distribution, and RF electronics.
Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000
Work Conditions:
