PennComp is a leading Managed Service Provider based in Houston, Texas, dedicated to delivering top-tier IT solutions and services to small and medium businesses. We are looking for a motivated and experienced Lead Generation Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a background in IT sales, excellent communication skills, and a passion for technology.

As the Lead Generation Specialist you will be responsible for new business development from lead generation to setting the in-person appointment. Working closely with account managers and your sales team, you will establish and nurture mutually profitable business relationships with clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Sales Pipeline: Manage the sales pipeline, including lead generation, prospecting activities, and opportunity qualification through various channels, including cold calling, networking, and industry events.
  • Appointment Setting: Build relationships and rapport with prospective clients up to setting the first qualified appointment with the Senior Sales Team.
  • Sales Targets: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets by identifying prospective clients’ needs and opportunities while promoting our comprehensive range of IT services.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on industry trends, competitive landscape, and emerging technologies in the Managed IT Services space. Leverage this knowledge to position our services effectively and differentiate us from competitors.
  • CRM Management: Maintain accurate records of all sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline updates using HubSpot.
  • Market Research: Conduct market research to identify potential clients and understand their specific IT needs.
  • Networking: Participate in networking events and/or industry conferences to expand our professional network and generate business opportunities.
  • Sales Meetings: Attend weekly sales meetings and provide team updates on lead generation activities and pipeline health.
Key Activities:
  • Making a high volume of cold calls weekly (e.g., 80+ calls weekly).
  • Engaging prospects through email and other communication channels.
  • Using CRM tools to document interactions and track progress toward setting appointments.
  • Market Research/Networking/Prospect visiting client sites to generate new qualified leads.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: Previous experience in IT sales or a related field is highly desired.
  • Education: A bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Information Technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • Skills:

    • Strong understanding of IT services and products, including managed services, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, and IT support.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Personal Attributes:

    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
