Job Summary:
Our client is seeking a HVAC/R Service Manager with field experience in HVAC and Refrigeration service. The role involves overseeing technicians, managing service calls, and dispatching based on priority. The Service Manager will also handle customer service, ensuring satisfaction, and growing the business's market share. You will collaborate with the owner and technicians to provide effective solutions on repair and service issues.
Job Responsibilities:
- Meet with customers to ensure satisfaction and seek additional service opportunities.
- Understand mechanical systems, local codes, and industry standards.
- Assist on service calls as needed.
- Review daily service and warranty invoices for accuracy in pricing and time tracking.
- Recruit, train, and supervise field technicians to perform equipment repair, maintenance, and start-up tasks.
- Dispatch technicians based on skill level, efficiency, and training needs.
- Ensure all technicians receive proper training and meet workload demands.
- Coordinate with other trades within the organization to efficiently complete projects.
- Respond to emergency service situations during and after hours.
- Complete reports and logs to ensure efficient scheduling and dispatching of technicians.
- Experience in commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or electrical trades.
- Working knowledge of HVAC/R systems and local building codes.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with pricing, billing, and warranty claims.
- Advanced customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to manage time, multi-task, and stay highly organized.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.
