Job Summary:
We are seeking a Part-Time Pharmacist for a 13-week assignment. This position involves reviewing medication orders from Physicians and Physician Extenders to ensure proper drug selection, dosage, frequency, and route of administration. The Pharmacist will also assess patient allergies, medical history, potential drug interactions, and lab results to prevent clinical conflicts before dispensing medications. Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Rotating Shifts
Key Responsibilities:

• Review all medication orders for accuracy and appropriateness.
• Ensure safe and accurate drug dispensing based on patient-specific factors (allergies, medical history, lab results).
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient care, including discharge planning and continuum of care.
• Provide drug information support for healthcare team members.
• Oversee pharmacy students and technicians to ensure medication preparation and dispensing accuracy.
• Manage inventory control to ensure adequate stock and minimize wastage.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy from a College of Pharmacy accredited by the American Council on Pharmaceutical Education (Required).
• Doctorate Degree (PharmD) is preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a hospital setting or Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience (APPE) in a clinical setting (Required).
• PA Pharmacist License (Required).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
