Job Description
We are offering a contract employment opportunity for an adept Human Resources (HR) Director in Palo Alto, California. As an HR Director, you will be at the forefront of the HR team, managing critical HR functions such as recruitment, compensation, benefits, performance management, policy development, and employee relations. This position will have 1 director report and also collaborate closely with the payroll and accounting departments.
Responsibilities:
• Orchestrating recruitment processes, including creating job descriptions, advertising vacancies, sifting through resumes, conducting interviews, and extending job offers.
• Administer compensation and benefits programs and ensure they are in line with legal requirements.
• Setting performance goals for employees, delivering feedback, and conducting performance evaluations.
• Developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure adherence to employment laws and regulations.
• Managing employee complaints, providing guidance on workplace policies and procedures, and mediating in case of employee disputes.
• 10+ years of HR experience and proven work experience at a Human Resources Director level for a minimum of 2 years.
• Experience supervising 1-2 HR Staff
• Proficiency in Human Capital Management (HCM), experience with Paycom preferred.
• Demonstrable expertise in managing and implementing Benefit Functions.
• Strong Communication skills are essential.
• Experience in Compliance and ensuring the company's adherence to legal and company standards.
• Proven capability in handling Employee Relations and resolving disputes or issues.
• Proficiency in Hiring Processes, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding.
• Experience in creating, implementing, and reviewing HR Policies.
• Demonstrable expertise in HR Compliance and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of laws and regulations.
• Experience in developing and implementing HR Strategies aligned with business goals.
• Proficiency in Human Resources (HR) Administration, including record-keeping and HR documentation.
