Position Summary
Command Post Technologies, Inc. (CPT) is seeking a Junior Cybersecurity Engineer to provide hands-on support for Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes, cybersecurity engineering, and the implementation of Risk Management Framework (RMF) activities. Contingent upon award, this is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to develop expertise in securing federal information systems while contributing to a mission-critical program.

Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity measures for Navy information systems in alignment with DoD RMF requirements.
- Conduct security assessments to identify vulnerabilities and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Develop and maintain security documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and Risk Assessment Reports.
- Utilize tools such as the Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) to document and track system compliance activities.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and program stakeholders to ensure systems meet authorization requirements.
- Support continuous monitoring activities, including vulnerability scanning and remediation efforts.
- Stay current with DoD cybersecurity policies, standards, and technologies to provide effective support.
- Active Secret clearance (required)
- Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or Mathematics.
- Meets Information Assurance Management (IAM) Level I certification requirements (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CAP, etc.).
- Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles, RMF, and information assurance concepts.
- Familiarity with tools like eMASS, vulnerability scanning tools, and configuration management systems is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of Navy or DoD information security processes and standards and familiarity with vulnerability management and compliance reporting tools strongly desired.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
