Description
Performs intermediate semiskilled work securing all County facilities, ensures the safety of staff and patrons by removal of hazards, cleaning and sanitizing County facilities, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the limited supervision of the Building and Grounds Manager.

Essential Qualifications
High School diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Obtain CPR, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogen training within one year of hire. Valid driver's license in the State of Wisconsin.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
This work requires the regular exertion of up to 25 pounds of force and occasional exertion of up to 50 pounds of force; work regularly requires speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel, lifting and repetitive motions, frequently requires walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, reaching with hands and arms and pushing or pulling and occasionally requires standing, climbing or balancing and tasting or smelling; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, using measuring devices, operating machines, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work frequently requires exposure to vibration exposure to bloodborne pathogens and may be required to wear specialized personal protective equipment and occasionally requires wet, humid conditions (non-weather), working near moving mechanical parts, exposure to fumes or airborne particles, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, exposure to outdoor weather conditions and exposure to the risk of electrical shock; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).

- Secures all County facilities and individual offices; unlocks, checks, and re-secures buildings as needed.
- Ensures the safety of staff and patrons by removal of hazards such as snow, ice salt, sand, and clutter.
- Handles, stocks and distributes chemicals and supplies in a safe manner.
- Cleans, sanitizes, stocks, and maintains public and employee restrooms and break areas.
- Sweeps, dust mops, mops, and mechanically scrub floors and stairwells.
- Vacuums carpets and floor mats.
- Performs light building maintenance; removes snow; rakes and mows; paints when necessary; performs equipment repair and product assembly.
- Collects, sorts, and removes trash and recycling.
- Cleans, dust, and disinfects fixtures, walls, furniture, appliances, etc.
- Completes project work including stripping and waxing floors, extracting carpets and mats, window cleaning, and deep scrubbing of buildings.
- Travels and transports supplies between facilities.
