Our well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our Family Law practice in Topeka, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in family law, a strong understanding of Kansas family law, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients in sensitive matters. As an Associate Attorney, you will handle a wide variety of family law cases including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and other related matters.

Our well-established law firm is seeking a dedicated and experienced Associate Attorney to join our Family Law practice in Topeka, Kansas. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in family law, a strong understanding of Kansas family law, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients in sensitive matters. As an Associate Attorney, you will handle a wide variety of family law cases including divorce, child custody, child support, spousal support, and other related matters.
Responsibilities:
- Manage a diverse caseload, including divorce, child custody, child support, and other family law matters.
- Represent clients in family court, including hearings, mediation, and trials.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Provide legal advice to clients and develop strategies for case resolution.
- Work closely with clients to understand their needs and provide compassionate legal counsel.
- Collaborate with senior attorneys and support staff to ensure smooth case management.
- Attend client meetings, court appearances, and negotiations.
- Stay current on legal trends, rulings, and statutes relevant to family law in Kansas.
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Active and valid Kansas State Bar license.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing family law in Kansas.
- Strong knowledge of Kansas family law and court procedures.
- Proven ability to manage a full caseload and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong negotiation and litigation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Compassionate and client-focused demeanor.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
