Job Overview:
Search Solution Group is seeking a Contract Recruiter on behalf of our client, a leading organization specializing in research and training in Earth system science. The Contract Recruiter will play a critical role in identifying, attracting, and securing top STEM talent to support the organization's mission. With a focus on recruiting for technical and specialized roles, this position requires expertise in STEM recruiting, preferably with experience in the non-profit sector.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates.
  • Develop and implement tailored recruitment strategies to attract top talent in STEM fields.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers and leadership to understand hiring needs, role requirements, and organizational goals.
  • Create and post job descriptions across relevant platforms and networks to maximize reach.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future hiring needs.
  • Leverage various sourcing tools, including LinkedIn, job boards, and professional networks, to identify talent.
  • Ensure all recruitment activities align with organizational values and diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about trends in STEM recruitment and the non-profit sector.
  • Provide timely updates and feedback to hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruitment process.
  • Track recruitment metrics and prepare reports to evaluate the effectiveness of hiring strategies.
Requirements Include:

Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered.
Experience:
  • Proven experience in full-cycle recruitment, with a focus on STEM roles.
  • Experience recruiting in the non-profit sector is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with nuances in technical and specialized hiring.
Skills:
  • Strong sourcing and candidate engagement skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and recruitment tools.
  • Skilled in building relationships with hiring managers and candidates.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications:
  • Professional HR or recruitment certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.
Knowledge:
  • Understanding of technical and STEM-specific recruitment needs.
  • Familiarity with non-profit organizational structures and recruitment challenges.
  • Awareness of DEI best practices in hiring.
