We're seeking a Benefits Representative to join our dedicated team of HR professionals. In this role, you'll partner closely with the Benefits Manager to help administer the full range of benefits offered by MotorCity Casino Hotel.
As a Benefits Representative, you will: Assist in administering our employee benefits programs, including 401(k) retirement plan, medical, dental and vision plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and more. Assist with the open enrollment process, including helping employees navigate plan options and eligibility. Develop and distribute informational materials to help employees understand and participate in open enrollment. Respond to benefits questions from managers and employees and serve as a primary contact for benefits-related inquiries and issues. Conduct FMLA leave tracking independently and in conjunction with third-party vendors. Help administer leave-of-absence and disability programs. Maintain reasonable communication with employees on leave to facilitate a consistent and timely return to work. Respond to inquiries from employees relating to 401(k) enrollment, plan changes, and contribution amounts. Understand the collective bargaining agreement and federal and state laws related to benefits, including FMLA, ADA, and COBRA. Conduct quality checks on benefits-related data. Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. What We Offer

Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or at least three years of related work experience. Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Ability to manage multiple critical, time-sensitive projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of state and federal laws impacting benefits, including FMLA, ADA, and COBRA. Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and an ability to work well with employees at all levels within the organization. Self-directed, organized, and detail-oriented with great attention to accuracy. Ability to complete tasks in a timely manner and maintain confidentiality.
