Travel Sterile Processing Tech - $1,178 per week in New Orleans, LA

Job Title: Sterile Processing Technician Job Specialty: Sterile Processing Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (14:00 - 23:30), Monday through Friday Guaranteed Hours: Not specified Experience: Minimum of 2 years experience in a Level I or II hospital License: Compact or applicable state license in hand upon submission Certifications: CRCST or CSPDT required Must-Have: - Additional checklist required for submission - Must be willing to travel over 65 miles for the position Job Description: - Work with equipment such as Sterilizer, Sterrad Machine, Ultrasonic (CaviWave, Medisafe, Belimed). - Work schedule is established without on-call requirements. - Submission of availability must be discussed during the interview phase. - Orientation will be held 5 days a week. - Provide 2 Manager/Supervisor references prior to clearance for starting the contract. - Obtain or possess all necessary certifications before the start date, such as AHA certifications and requirements specific to CNAs and RNs. - Must have current NURSYS reports for RNs within 4 weeks of submission. - Individuals who have worked as permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must have a gap of one year before becoming eligible for a travel position. - Adherence to vaccine requirements with exemptions for medical or religious reasons only. Certifications Required for Specific Roles: - AWHONN Intermediate certification is required for L&D RN. - CPI certification is required for all CNAs and ER nurses.
