Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor

Our Opportunity North American Lighting (NAL) is looking for a Manufacturing Engineerong Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will supervise and coordinate the activities and personnel of the Manufacturing Engineering department, which includes day-to-day engineering support for new product development milestones in assembly. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Your Priorities Assigns, supervises, and evaluates the work of the manufacturing engineers and manufacturing engineering technicians. Supports Assembly Plant downtime and OEE improvement activities. Coaches and develops Manufacturing Engineers supporting production for recently launched programs. Coordinates and/or participates in all continuous improvement activities within area of responsibility, and ensures participation of direct reports these activities, as needed. Assists in the management of the department, as well as in the development of annual departmental goals, headcount, and budgets. Supports and oversees department KPIs as established by management and makes recommendations concerning scrap and downtime reduction in order to help meet the KPI goals. Evaluates departmental training needs, schedules employees for training, and/or conducts the training of manufacturing engineers and manufacturing engineering technicians in accordance with their overall responsibilities within the department. Stays current with the latest manufacturing processes, techniques, and technologies. Oversees Manufacturing Engineers and supports new launch milestones. Performs all other duties as assigned. Requirements Your Background Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Technology, or a technical discipline, plus 6 - 8 years of experience in manufacturing environment to include: 2 years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering 2 years of experience in a lead, supervisory, or management position.
