DutiesYou will serve as a technical authoritative expert and represent the Program Management Office (PMO) lead engineer.You will be responsible for PMO projects meeting IT requirements, assisting and ensuring IT requirements are met, which includes participating in technical reviews.You will assist in identifying and coordinating the efforts of technical area experts who are available to assist with the technical IT aspects of the project and help address technical issues, as well as recommend new equipment and configurations.You will recommend system enhancements that would result in improved system cost effectiveness and/or user productivity and participate in various boards to identify potential integration on executive working groups for system implementation.You will review system capabilities and proposals for their integration with other programs and provide comprehensive risk assessment, implementing actions to mitigate vulnerabilities.Requirements Conditions of EmploymentMust be a US Citizen.Must be determined suitable for federal employment.Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check. Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 641 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment. Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Applying Information Technology principles and practices while utilizing applications such as Microsoft Reporting Services, Microsoft Query Language (SQL), and demonstrating mastery knowledge of applications software, data management, and systems analysis.
