Strategy Analyst
Vivo HealthStaff is looking for a Strategy Analyst who will support organizational strategy
development through research, analysis and synthesis of information; provide design and
execution support of high-priority strategic planning projects; and operate as an internal
consultant on key initiatives defined by the strategic plan. This position will involve exposure
to the Senior Leadership Team.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Researches and gathers information independently (competitive landscape, market
dynamics, benchmarking, etc.) as well as collaborate and communicate with internal
and external stakeholders (discovery, interviewing, focus groups, etc.).
2. Uses data analytics & decision science to impact business behavior.
3. Operationalizes
high-priority
strategic
initiatives,
including
supporting
and
collaborating with the operations team to successfully implement pilot programs
4. Develops and hone skills in financial modelling, cost-benefit analysis, operational
efficiency analysis, buy-versus-sell decisions, scenario planning, statistical analysis,
and marketing analytics.
5. Digests and synthesizes large amounts of information quickly, including gaining a
solid understanding of operational realities and ongoing process improvements.
6. Works with team members to determine the best analytical approach and be able to
employ a variety of analytical methods depending on the issue.
7. Supports the deepening of insights and framing of decision points for the
organization; use data and objectivity to guide discussion; effectively contextualize
recommendations.
8. Contributes
to effective storyboards and evidence-based presentations for
conversations at various levels of the organization, including Board-level
presentations.
9. Develops project work plans and execute with efficiency and autonomy.
10. Builds trusted relationships quickly with team, colleagues and stakeholders.
11. Other duties and projects as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities):
1. Bachelor's degree with outstanding academic performance required. Master's degree
preferred.
2. Highly motivated, self-starter attitude combined with good work ethic
3. 2-4 years in firm-based management consulting, or structured internal consulting,
preferred.
4. Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills required.
5. Strong record of growth mindset for learning, collaborative teamwork, and sound
judgment.
6. Ability to adopt technology quickly and utilize different technology platforms for
project management and care coordination.
7. Ability to navigate nonprofit organizations with sensitivity and effectiveness.
8. Ability to communicate complex ideas with organization, appropriate narrative and
persuasion.
9. Ability to prepare presentations and present to audiences.
10. Attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
11. Knowledge of the healthcare industry is a plus.
