Production Supervisor

Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on a rotating shift schedule. The successful candidate will ensure production goals are met efficiently and safely while maintaining high-quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Supervise Daily Operations: Oversee production activities during assigned shifts to ensure adherence to schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols. Team Leadership: Manage and support production staff, including scheduling, performance evaluations, and addressing personnel issues. Safety Compliance: Promote a safe working environment by enforcing safety guidelines and conducting regular safety audits. Quality Assurance: Monitor production processes to ensure products meet company standards and specifications. Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve operational issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain efficiency. Reporting: Track and report production metrics, including output, downtime, and waste, and provide updates to management. Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with teams to implement process improvements, enhance productivity, and reduce waste. Training and Development: Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching to ensure the team’s skills align with operational goals. Cross-Shift Communication: Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure seamless handovers and continuity between shifts. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent (required); a bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field (preferred). 3–5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory role. Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to motivate and manage diverse teams. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Familiarity with manufacturing processes, safety regulations, and quality standards. Proficiency in using production management software and Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Shift Requirements: Willingness to work a rotating shift schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures.
