Aligned Solutions has been retained by a reputable corporation who is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Controller to lead and oversee the financial operations of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional analytical skills, a deep understanding of accounting principles, and the ability to manage complex financial systems. This role requires strategic thinking, excellent leadership capabilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance. Key Responsibilities Financial Leadership : Provide strategic direction for all financial operations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives. Accounting Oversight : Supervise accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger activities. Financial Reporting : Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports, in compliance with GAAP or other applicable standards. Budget Management : Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial models to guide decision-making and support organizational growth. Compliance : Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audit requirements, and internal policies; manage relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies. Cost Analysis : Conduct cost analysis and profitability assessments to identify opportunities for efficiency and growth. Team Development : Lead and mentor finance team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture. System Optimization : Evaluate and enhance financial systems, processes, and controls to improve accuracy, efficiency, and security. Stakeholder Communication : Collaborate with executives and department heads to provide financial insights and support strategic initiatives. Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA designation strongly preferred). Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive accounting and finance experience, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role. Skills & Competencies In-depth knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance. Advanced proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or SAP) and Microsoft Excel. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities. Proven leadership and team management skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with diverse stakeholders. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
