The Learning & Development Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the Global Professional Development and Education team's efforts to deliver high-quality learning experiences. This role provides administrative, logistical, and technical support to the team, ensuring the efficient operation of programs and initiatives. Additionally, the Learning & Development Specialist serves as a key liaison across regional education teams, maintaining a global education calendar and managing IAAPA's online education presence. This role will work closely with the Sr. Director, Education Creator, Certification Manager, Professional Development Manager, and LMS Administrator to contribute to the success of IAAPA's professional development offerings.

Key Responsibilities:

Program Support:

  • Provide administrative and logistical support for all professional development programs, including:
    • Assisting with program registration and enrollment
    • Coordinating program materials and resources
    • Preparing training venues and equipment
    • Managing communication with program participants
    • Providing onsite support during programs and events
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of program documentation and materials.
  • Support the creation and distribution of marketing and promotional materials for programs.
Technology Support:
  • Assist the LMS Administrator with the day-to-day management of the learning management system.
  • Provide technical support to program participants and facilitators using the LMS.
  • Assist in the uploading and maintenance of learning content on the LMS.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate complex problems to the LMS Administrator.
Regional Collaboration & Calendar Management:
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regional education teams, facilitating communication and collaboration on program development and delivery.
  • Maintain a master calendar of all global and regional education events, ensuring accurate scheduling and avoiding conflicts.
  • Communicate updates and changes to the education calendar to relevant stakeholders.
Website Management:
  • Manage and update IAAPA's education pages on the association website, ensuring content is accurate, current, and engaging.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to optimize website content for search engine optimization (SEO) and user experience.
  • Monitor website traffic and analytics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Data Management & Reporting:
  • Collect and analyze program data, including participant feedback, attendance records, and performance metrics.
  • Generate reports on program effectiveness and key performance indicators.
  • Maintain accurate records of program activities and participant information.
Other Responsibilities:
  • Conduct research on industry trends and best practices in professional development.
  • Assist in the development of new programs and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of existing programs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in a learning and development environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 1 Suite and other relevant software applications
