Job Responsibilities: Perform varied electrical work. Maintain and repair electrical systems, lights, elevators, and fire alarm systems. Trench/excavate and install underground wiring. Install conduitand wiring for outdoor and indoor systems. Perform general building maintenance and construction. Perform work in accordance with the National Electric Code standards. Work on special equipment. Work is located on the SDSU campus, and at agricultural experiment stations.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Required licenses: 1)Valid driver's license. 2) South Dakota electrical journeyman license.
Comments: 8am-5pm M-F or 7am-3:30pm depending on 'on-call' schedule; weekends, evenings, holidays as needed based on 'call-backs'. This position is required to respond to emergencies after hours, on weekends or holidays on a rotating schedule as well as working in all types of extreme weather conditions (outside, inside, heat and cold). The position is classified as a Building Maintenance Specialist. SDSU is a tobacco free environment.
