This position is responsible for leading a group of automotive suppliers, in providing quality powertrain components in sufficient capacity. This position is within the Global Supplier Management and Purchasing department, and will report to the responsible Supplier Management Quality Team Leader.

Position offers a starting salary range of $82,000 - $104,500 USD
Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and experience
Benefits include annual bonus program; 401k company contribution with company match up to 6% as well as non-elective company contribution of 3 - 7% depending on age; starting at 4 weeks paid vacation; 13+ calendar holidays; 8 weeks paid parental leave; employee assistance program; comprehensive healthcare plans and wellness programs; onsite fitness (at some locations); tuition assistance and volunteer paid time off; short-term and long-term disability plans.

What You Drive at DTNA
- Work with the supplier to ensure supplier performance is regularly reported and that appropriate and timely corrective actions are implemented.
- Strategically lead supplier performance improvement projects in an effort to increase the supplier capability of consistently meeting customer existing or new requirements. Projects may include: process analysis, value stream mapping, process capability and throughput analysis, 6-Sigma, 5S and Kaizen events.
- Facilitate and help lead the supplier in the advanced product quality planning of new series part production following the international APQP process.
- Maintain and update supplier audit system and schedule.
- Documents activities related to investigation, disposition, and resolution to quality complaints.
- Conduct supplier audits to confirm product conformity, or drive process standardization, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
- Monitor, communicate and improve key supply chain KPI's, including DPPM, Quality Complaints, and capacity to support OTS (On Time Ship) compliance.
- Lead or support effort to establish specific short / long-term supplier quality goals.
- Champion problem solving and root cause analysis activities with suppliers and customers to eliminate recurrence of non-conformances.
- Work to resolve supplier technical issues in a timely manner to ensure continuity of supply.
- Reviews and approves supplier PPAP's; Review and audit the deliverables including: Control Plans, Capability plans, Capability Studies, Part layouts, Gage design, Gage R&R, PFEMA, DFMEA; and supports or leads project management efforts regarding supplier changes.
- Ability to travel domestically & internationally
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Strong problem solving skills & solution-focused mindset
- Knowledge of GD&T
- Experience working in a global organization
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Strong communication skills - leading conferences, supplier audits, etc.
- Project management experience
- Statistical process control experience
- Experience with Axle components
- Experience working with supplier quality and supplier development projects
- Strong understanding of PPAP review and approval process
- Auditing experience (VDA, IATF, ISO 9001)
- Familiarity with the VDA 6.3 process audit
- Knowledge of a foreign language
