Position Title: Chief Financial Officer (CFO) – Critical Access Hospital Location: Grand County, Colorado (1.5 hours west of Denver) Job Type: Permanent Full-Time Schedule: Monday – Friday, Days Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience to join the senior leadership team at a rural healthcare facility in Grand County, Colorado. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced financial leader to oversee and direct the financial operations of a multi-site health system in a picturesque location that offers year-round outdoor recreation, including world-class skiing, hiking, and mountain biking. The CFO will play a key role in the hospital’s financial planning, strategy, and leadership while ensuring compliance with Level IV Trauma and CAH regulations. Responsibilities: Provide strategic financial direction to ensure long-term financial viability. Oversee financial operations, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. Ensure compliance with Critical Access Hospital (CAH) guidelines and regulations. Analyze financial data to improve decision-making and operational efficiency. Collaborate with senior leadership on growth initiatives, financial strategies, and cost-saving measures. Oversee revenue cycle, reimbursement, and financial audits. Lead a team to ensure accuracy, transparency, and compliance in all financial reporting. Qualifications: MBA, CPA, or related degree required. Previous experience as a CFO in a hospital setting is required. Critical Access Hospital (CAH) experience is strongly preferred. Familiarity with Level IV Trauma regulations.
