A law firm in Detroit is seeking a talented and driven Litigation Associate Attorney to join their team. The ideal candidate must have excellent research, writing, and communication skills. They should be licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan, or willing and able to become licensed, and in good standing. Exceptional writing, oral advocacy, and persuasive speaking skills are essential. The position requires 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting. Duties: Conduct legal research, analysis, and drafting of legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs. Represent clients in court proceedings, depositions, mediations, and settlement negotiations. Prepare for and participate in trials and hearings. Collaborate with partners and colleagues to develop case strategies and solutions. Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates and legal advice. Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters. Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings. Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation. Requirements: Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school. Admission to practice law in the state of Michigan, or willingness and ability to become licensed. 3-5 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting. Exceptional research, writing, and communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team. Detail-oriented approach to legal work. Education: Juris Doctorate (Required) Certifications: Admission to practice law in Michigan (Required) Skills: Excellent research, writing, and communication skills. Strong oral advocacy and persuasive speaking abilities. Proficiency in legal research databases and tools. Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively. Experience with commercial litigation matters. Knowledge of Michigan court procedures and rules. Client counseling and relationship management skills.
