Storage Engineer

JOB DUTIES: Understanding of NAS over WAN and LAN. Manage, maintain, and support data storage solutions, utilizing NetApp/Isilon/EMC Symmetrix/DMX/VMAX and Clariion arrays. Plan, coordinate, and upgrade components of the SAN/NAS/TSM as needed with software, hardware, and microcode upgrades. Work with vendors as needed in this process. Provide guidance to subordinate level group personnel on a day-to-day basis. Engage in technical level discussions around Datacenter solutions. Responsible for storage provisioning tasks beginning with end user requests, through the creation of volumes, mapping, and ensuring storage availability at the operating system. Involved in storage performance analysis and troubleshooting storage capacity management and planning. Plan and implement the design and installation of subsystems, software, and/or hardware. Work with the Game Development team to provide stable and cost-effective storage solutions. Research, evaluate, and implement upcoming storage technologies that will increase efficiency while reducing operational costs. Work under supervision. Travel and/or relocation to unanticipated client sites throughout the USA is required. EDUCATION REQUIRED: Master’s degree in Computer Science/IT/IS/Engineering (Any) or related field with six (6) months of experience in the job offered or as an IT Consultant/Analyst/Programmer/Developer or closely related field. Employer also accepts a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/IT/IS/Engineering (Any) or related plus five years of progressive work experience in related field. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Experience of six (6) months working on any storage tools like DellEMC PowerMax or NetApp Storage is required.
