The candidate selected will work closely with our database and server engineering teams to provide storage solutions that meet business performance, availability and cost requirements.The candidate will create and document configuration standards for storage integrated with our peers (UNIX, Windows, Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, etc.).The Senior Storage Engineer is responsible for making technical decisions in support of both daily activities and ongoing project deliverables.This individual will help develop the technical expertise of team members and foster the respect of stakeholder groups to ensure a collaborative team approach.Qualifications
Overall technical design, implementation and operation of our SAN and NAS environments.In-depth knowledge of storage in a highly virtualized VMware and UNIX environment.In-depth knowledge of storage in AIX/RAC/NPIV environments.In-depth knowledge of Fiber Channel SAN concepts including hardware such as Fiber Channel Directors, switches, cables, connectors, cards, and related zoning on Brocade switches.In-depth knowledge of Storage Devices and Storage Data management tools is required.Hands-on knowledge of NetApp Clustered DataONTAP, OnCommand System manager, OnCommand Unified manager, EMC VMAX with FASTVP, EMC VNX arrays, Cisco MDS, and Brocade Fibre Channel.
