Description
As a Senior Data Governance Specialist, you will lead data governance efforts within assigned data domains. Your responsibilities include applying advanced Data Ownership and Stewardship structures, proactively identifying and resolving complex data quality issues, and overseeing the enrichment of the data catalog with comprehensive domain and system knowledge. You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with senior stakeholders, and drive strategic data governance initiatives to support business goals and ensure data integrity across the organization.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative or business field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science) (Required)
Deep functional knowledge with 6 years of related experience, or equivalent experience acquired through accomplishments of applicable knowledge, duties, scope and skill reflective of the level of this position (Required)
Required Skills/Knowledge
Great knowledge of data governance principles.
Knowledge of business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets.
Experience working with large datasets, data verification, and data management.
Experience with complex data profiling and analysis.
Experience with Data Governance processes and roles.
Experience with Master Data Management.
Experience with Agile Software Development.
Ability to identify basic problems and procedural irregularities, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to work independently.
Demonstrated analytical skills.
Demonstrated project management skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Great facilitation ability to host sessions and elicit ideas from others.

Functional Accountabilities
Serves as the Data Governance Representative for Data Domain to lead workgroup meetings and uphold the charter.
Provides data analysis through development of code for data domain related needs.
Leads the curation of data catalog for data domain.
Maintains master data for all important data areas of the organization.
Evaluates and remediates data quality issues.
Performs customer support through knowledge of business objectives and timely completion of work products.
Identifies rules to enhance data quality.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Complies with all policies and standards.
