Faculty are dedicated to advancing biological, behavioral, and clinical science for adults with complex health disorders. Duties & Responsibilities Teaching:
Non-Tenure Track professorial faculty participate in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate levels. Demonstrates a range of teaching activities. Demonstrates practice expertise in area of specialization. Uses current knowledge and/or research in teaching. Demonstrates principles of diversity, equity, and inclusion in teaching philosophy. Scholarship/Research:
Nursing scholarship and research span broad content areas. Articulates a plan for a program of scholarship related to practice. Evidence of scholarly activities. Affirms commitment to principles of equity, inclusion, and diversity. Practice/Service:
Non-Tenure Track faculty may contribute to the service mission of the university. Participates in professional organizations. Defines and develops a practice area. Supports healthcare needs of diverse individuals. Minimum Qualifications:
Minimum education is a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree, or PhD in nursing or related sciences. Additionally: Family Nurse Practitioner faculty qualifications require national certification. All other programs require a State of Illinois Registered Nurse License by time of appointment.
