School Board
is seeking an experienced educational leader to serve as
Superintendent . The Board wishes to have the successful candidate assume the responsibilities of the position
July 1, 2025 . McPherson & Jacobson, L.L.C., Executive Recruitment and Development has been engaged as the consultant in a search for outstanding candidates. They will assist the School Board in identifying and screening the candidates. Location:
150 miles southwest of Colorado Springs; 150 miles west of Pueblo The Qualifications In order to be considered for the position, candidates must have the background, skills, and abilities essential for the superintendency. Preference will be given to candidates with small school leadership experience and willingness to live in the district. The Board of Education is seeking a candidate with the following specific characteristics: Proven success leading academic improvement efforts Classroom teaching experience A collaborative leader who values the rural lifestyle Experience with school finance and grant oversight A people person who is comfortable working with both veteran and novice staff Demonstrated ability to manage the many tasks required of small school superintendents A desire to be an integral part of the Saguache community and routinely engage with community members Salary Range:
