Process Engineer

Selectek is seeking a qualified Process Engineer  for a partnering client near Raleigh, North Carolina. This firm focuses on heavy industrial and manufacturing projects, but candidates in this role will be working primarily in chemical engineering. Employment Type: Temp-to-Perm Expected Salary Range: $40-$50 per hour depending on experience and background Location: Raleigh, North Carolina Job Requirements: - 5 + years of mechanical design experience - Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering or related fields - Experience with high pressure systems, piping, heat and material balances, and feasibility studies - Knowledge of heavy industrial design - Proficiency in AutoCAD Plant 3D, Navisworks, and Bluebeam - Working knowledge of 3D Point Clouds and Laser Scanning Tools - Ideal candidates have knowledge of mining, utility, chemical, wastewater treatment and biogas Job Duties: - Create process flow diagrams (PFD) and P&IDs for plant sites that deal in chemical work - Perform virtual walk-throughs in 3D models and create point clouds at client sites - Perform feasibility studies of various chemical and mining processes - ­ Develop fluid, process, and heat/material balance calculation packages to determine relief valve and flare sizing - Ensure designs comply with industry and customer standards - Develop project schedules and scopes to include cost estimation and quality assurance planning - Recommend improvements and devise new approaches to problems encountered To be considered for this position, apply via the link, or send an up-to-date resume to  jfairbanks@selectek.com and reference this job posting.
