Job Summary:
The Vice President of Project Management is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of all construction projects across PURIS' operating regions. This position will provide strategic direction, ensure consistent project performance, and drive operational excellence across the project management team. This role requires a proven leader who can build and sustain relationships, develop high-performing teams, and ensure that all projects meet or exceed the company's standards for safety, quality, and profitability.

Essential Job Accountabilities:
Leadership & Strategy
- Provide strategic leadership to the Project Management team, ensuring alignment with business goals, values, and commitment to customer satisfaction.
- Establish and implement best practices for project planning, execution, and close-out to achieve operational excellence.
- Drive a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation across the project teams and field operations.
- Develop and execute strategic growth initiatives that support PURIS' market position as a leader in trenchless infrastructure solutions.
- Oversee a portfolio of complex construction projects, ensuring they are completed safely, on time, and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, performance metrics, and risk management strategies to ensure successful outcomes.
- Support Project Managers in resolving challenges related to scheduling, budgetary constraints, technical issues, or customer needs.
- Drive adherence to contractual obligations and specifications, facilitating issue resolution, and managing change orders as required.
- Build and mentor a high-performing Project Management team, providing guidance, training, and professional development opportunities.
- Lead recruitment and talent management initiatives to ensure the right people are in place to execute on project demands.
- Collaborate with the Area Directors, Construction Managers, and other leaders to ensure strong internal communication and alignment.
- Lead monthly financial reviews for projects, focusing on revenue recognition, cost management, and forecasting accuracy.
- Manage the project portfolio's overall profitability, identifying opportunities to improve margins while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with leadership to set annual budgets and long-term strategic financial goals.
- Drive safety initiatives, ensuring adherence to PURIS' safety standards and regulatory compliance across all project sites.
- Act as a key liaison between Project Managers and senior leadership, providing regular updates on project progress and challenges.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, business, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 10+ years of experience in project management within the construction or infrastructure industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven ability to manage and scale multi-regional operations with consistent success in meeting KPIs.
- Deep understanding of construction contracts, plans, specifications, and regulations.
- Exceptional financial acumen, including the ability to analyze P&L statements and project cost forecasting.
- Proficiency in project management software such as HCSS and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to perform effectively under pressure.
