LHH has partnered up with an extraordinary nonprofit organization in northern VA to identify a Manager of Compliance & Grants! This is a highly dynamic role which offers the opportunity to perform various tasks within compliance, grants, internal controls, accounting, and budgeting. As an employee of this organization, you will also enjoy a flexible hybrid schedule!

  1. Grant Management & Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as donor requirements and organizational policies.
    • Assist with the preparation of grant proposals and budgets, ensuring alignment with funding agency requirements.
    • Monitor grant expenditures and ensure that all costs are compliant with the grant terms and conditions.
    • Prepare and submit timely grant reports to funding agencies and other stakeholders.
    • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure ongoing compliance with grant requirements and organizational policies.
  2. Accounts Payable:
    • Ensure that all payments are made in accordance with organizational policies, within budget, and in compliance with grant agreements.
    • Manage vendor relationships and resolve any billing or payment issues efficiently.
  3. General Ledger Management:
    • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.
    • Review and post journal entries, ensuring that all transactions are appropriately documented and recorded.
    • Coordinate monthly and year-end close processes and assist with financial reporting.
    • Assist with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts, ensuring accurate financial projections.
    • Ensure proper internal controls are in place to safeguard financial assets and grant funds.
  4. Internal Controls & Audits:
    • Develop and implement internal controls to monitor grant spending and financial reporting.
    • Provide support during internal and external audits, preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
    • Ensure proper tracking and reporting of restricted funds in compliance with donor and regulatory guidelines.


Pay Details: $32.00 to $40.00 per hour
