A law firm seeks an experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join its litigation team in Armonk, New York. This role offers an opportunity to handle complex legal disputes, collaborate with a talented team of professionals, and grow your litigation expertise in a supportive environment.
Duties:
Manage all phases of commercial litigation, including discovery, motion practice, depositions, and trial preparation.
Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
Oversee document review and ensure compliance with court deadlines and procedures.
Take and defend depositions to develop case strategy and evaluate witness credibility.
Represent clients in court proceedings, including hearings and pre-trial motions (courtroom experience preferred but not mandatory).
Conduct in-depth legal research and provide strategic recommendations to clients.
Collaborate with team members to manage cases efficiently and achieve client objectives.
Requirements:
Prior experience in commercial litigation, including handling discovery, depositions, and drafting pleadings.
Strong legal analysis, writing, and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Education:
Juris Doctorate (JD) from an accredited law school with strong academic performance.
Certifications:
Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility to obtain admission promptly.
Skills:
Exceptional research and analytical abilities.
Proficient in drafting and managing complex legal documents.
Strong interpersonal and client relationship skills.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
