We are seeking a CFO for our client to join their team full-time. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial activities of the organization, working closely with the President & CEO. This role includes strategic financial planning, risk management, financial record-keeping, preparing statistical reports for management and the Board, audit activities, and financial reporting. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary $195,000 to $225,000 per year.

Responsibilities

  1. Manage and oversee the financial operations and accounting, ensuring adherence to standardized and generally accepted accounting principles and policies.
  2. Organize and maintain various financial records, forms, and files, and develop a records retention program.
  3. Implement and follow written and oral instructions and directives, establishing policies and procedures or delegating these tasks responsibly.
  4. Collaborate with the President and CEO to establish policies and procedures that accurately record all financial transactions of the organization.
  5. Supervise and assist with accounting procedures performed by volunteers and employees.
  6. Accurately report the financial condition, profit/loss, and changes in financial condition in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
  7. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to accounting, taxes, and other relevant matters.

Requirements

  1. Excellent interpersonal, communication, public speaking, and presentation skills.
  2. Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior financial management role.
  3. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
  4. Strong work ethic and commitment to accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting.
  5. Solid knowledge of investment and capital resource management.

Experience

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  2. 3+ years of experience in an executive-level finance position.
  3. Extensive experience in financial planning, analysis, accounting, and budgeting.
