Key Responsibilities:
- System Design and Development: Develop, implement, and optimize automation systems to meet client requirements, including PLC, HMI, and SCADA programming.
- Hands-On Control Panel Assembly: Work directly in the shop to build, wire, and test control panels, ensuring quality and functionality align with project specifications.
- Programming and Troubleshooting: Design and write control programs for industrial equipment using PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems. Diagnose and resolve issues to ensure seamless system operations.
- Project Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including mechanical and electrical engineers, to develop robust automation solutions. Participate in design reviews and project planning sessions.
- System Integration: Integrate various automated equipment and ensure communication and data flow between systems.
- Documentation and Compliance: Create detailed documentation, including electrical schematics, system diagrams, and standard operating procedures, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Maintenance and Upgrades: Provide ongoing support and improvements for automated systems, keeping up with technological advancements and ensuring system reliability.
- Client Support: Offer technical support and training to end-users, ensuring smooth operation and maintenance of the systems.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in automation engineering, control systems, and PLC/HMI/SCADA programming.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens).
- Experience with HMI and SCADA systems.
- Hands-on experience in control panel assembly, wiring, and troubleshooting is essential.
- Strong understanding of industrial control systems, networks, and protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus).
- Familiarity with safety standards and electrical codes.
- Ability to read and create electrical schematics.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical skills, problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
