Buyer Planner Associate Job Location: Benicia, California Job Type: Temp to Hire Pay Rate: $30-$35/hour Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8am-5pm Description of Position: Are you a proactive problem solver with experience in purchasing and production planning? Our client is seeking a Buyer Planner to join their team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our high quality products are manufactured and delivered on time and within budget. Job Responsibilities: Process purchase requirements for production materials. Evaluate and select items for cost competitiveness while driving cost reduction initiatives. Identify and recommend new suppliers and maintain supplier relationships. Negotiate blanket purchase contracts to achieve the lowest total acquisition costs. Collaborate with suppliers to resolve quality issues, requisition needs, and PO discrepancies. Plan, modify, and reschedule purchase orders based on production schedules. Develop and maintain accurate Bill of Materials. Assist in scheduling production runs to meet product demand. Maintain and communicate production schedules with the production team. Experience Required: Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Buyer/Planner. High School or some college. Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. Comfortable working under the pressure of time constraints. Strong interpersonal skills and a good presence. Strong math skills. Able to work on own and within a team environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and MRP systems.
