The Director, Supplier Strategy & Analytics is a data-driven, strategic-minded resource that will lead supplier analysis and presentations, analytical commercial projects, the implementation of shopper and consumer strategies, and the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the Supplier Development & Marketing (SDM) and SG+ Fine Wine and Craft Collection Spirits suppliers and SGWS Commercial Executive Leadership. The role’s primary focus will be to develop the implementation of category and supplier deep dives that translate into commercially actionable strategies, to drive profitable growth and performance across the SGWS footprint, while being hands-on and leveraging supplier and consumer insights and analytics derived from internal and external data sources. Primary Responsibilities

Supplier Strategy & Analytics: • Serve as a subject matter expert on the Strategy Team to extract and synthesize information from internal and external data sources, to develop actionable insights and analysis for strategic project needs, with minimal supervision. • Serve as the subject matter expert on the Strategy Team on Consumer and Shopper Insights and how to translate these into actionable insights for supplier and category analysis. • Serve as the project lead, in support of the VP, Supplier Strategy, on enterprise-wide strategic and analytical supplier initiatives. • Leverage insights and analytics for the SDM and SG+ suppliers to deliver solutions in support of their business and analytical needs with supplier innovation and new product performance such as category and competitive benchmark analysis. • Partner with the Supplier Insights team to develop analytical projects in support of supplier requests, TTT presentations, and SGWS growth initiatives. • Partner with the Corporate Commercial Analytics team on syndicated and shopper data requests, in support of supplier or internal strategic initiatives. • Proactively identify commercially relevant industry analysis that can be leveraged across various levels of the organization, to include key learnings from historical data and actionable insights for outlooks. • Drive coordination and collaboration on SDM supplier initiatives with the Regional Commercial Operations and Commercial Strategy functions, as directed by the VP, Supplier Strategy. Consumer & Shopper Insights: • Serve as the subject matter expert on the Strategy Team on Shopper and Consumer Insights and how to translate these into actionable strategies for SGWS and supplier growth initiatives. • Act as a strategic thought partner to SGWS leadership and supplier partners to deliver strategic insights that help shape decisions on category, supplier, and brand strategies that are aligned with shifting consumer preferences. • Leverage shopper and consumer insights to build selling stories for retailers and internal SGWS teams. Executive Leadership Support: • Support the VP, Supplier Strategy on initiatives and projects requested by Executive Leadership (CSMO, SVP Sales & Marketing, and the SVP Supplier Strategy) that include but are not limited to: • Evaluation of Supplier expansion and alignment opportunities. • Collaborating with Suppliers on strategic projects. • Preparation and presentations for Top-to-Top meetings, Supplier QBRs, and Internal SDM and SGWS leadership meetings. • Support the VP, Supplier Strategy on cross-functional and executive leadership presentations. • Collaborate with the Office of Strategic Management and SDM Supplier Insights Team on developing analytical insights, forecasts, and tools to support regional and market level needs to more effectively respond to RFP requests and execute supplier footprint strategy and projections, as directed by Supplier Sales & Marketing leadership team. • Support Supplier Top to Top Presentations with strategic analysis content, and small-mid scale RFP capabilities presentations as needed. Additional Primary Responsibilities

Strategic Project Management: • Drive strategic enterprise-wide projects and initiatives in support of Commercial Senior Executives. • Drive results as a main point-of-contact on the SDM Strategy team to coordinate and facilitate corporate initiatives and projects and efforts with regional teams, dedicated peers, and other cross-functional teams. • Lead the development, enhancement, and automation of standard industry and SGWS internal reporting in collaboration with the Directors, Supplier Strategy and Analytics for projects such as Key Market Profiles, Brand New Reporting Analytics Package, among others. • Drive national consistency and engagement across supplier leadership presentations and processes and embedding tool deployment across the SDM and SG+ internal teams and corporately managed suppliers, in close coordination with the SDM leadership team. • Lead the development of the corporate category programs to provide category and commercial insights, while working closely with SDM leadership, MC COE, and Supplier Insights. People Leader: • Informally, coach and direct Sr. Analyst, Supplier Strategy and Insights Analyst(s) on various initiatives. • Other job-related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience within the consumer products sector, including at least 5 in BevAlc. • At least 5+ years experience under a Strategy or Commercial Analytics function, with a strong track record of shopper insights and commercial metrics. • At least 5+ years experience managing complex datasets under a Business Intelligence or Commercial Analytics function, with a strong track record of analytics and data mining/manipulation and proficiency at managing datasets. • At least 3+ years experience in a Shopper Insights and/or Consumer Insights function. • Experience in managing complex leadership presentations from beginning to end. • Experience in data manipulation and synthesizing information from various internal and external data sets to develop actionable insights and analysis. • Advanced Analytics/Critical thinking skills that translate into a strategic and analytical mindset. • Advanced level Excel capabilities to manipulate data into a digestible format to utilize in reporting and analysis. • Experience in pivot tables, intermediate excel formulas, data visualizations are a must. • Advanced data visualizations knowledge in excel, power point, Think-cell, Tableau (Tableau preferred but not required). • Knowledge across multiple data sources including SGWS internal data, syndicated data such as Nielsen, consumer/shopper data such as Numerator, Technomic, Nielsen HomeScan. • Excellent Presentation skills (Preparing and Presenting). • Commercial project management experience – ability to drive an analysis from planning through completion with minimal supervision – independent thinking required. • SME for Department Initiatives. • Strong track record of collaboration with cross-functional project teams. Preferred Qualifications • MBA in a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. • Strong/Expert level Business Objects (BO) experience. • Strong track record of cross-functional collaboration. • Ability to develop, motivate and influence teams while driving changes within a transformational organization. • Experience managing RFPs. • Deep industry knowledge across the SGWS footprint and overall industry. • Ability to effectively manage projects that include both internal and external stakeholders. • Ability to deliver presentations to senior leadership. • Digital knowledge including a strong understanding of SG Proof capabilities. • Ability to collaborate closely with Southern Glazer’s SDM Insights and the Enterprise Insights & Analytics Team. • Prioritization and decision-making skills. • Strong knowledge of market dynamics for wine & spirits. • Working knowledge of regulations in major states. • Working knowledge of customer dynamics for wine & spirits. • Teamwork/cross-functional collaboration. • Communication and influencing skills.
