This is an exciting opportunity to work with a distinguished firm handling complex construction defect litigation cases across California, with a competitive compensation range based on experience. Key Responsibilities: Manage a diverse caseload of construction defect litigation matters, representing clients such as contractors, developers, insurers, and property owners. Draft and file legal pleadings, motions, and discovery documents in connection with construction defect cases. Conduct legal research and offer strategic advice on matters including breach of contract, construction defects, warranty issues, and negligence. Work closely with expert witnesses and other consultants to develop compelling cases and defense strategies. Handle negotiations, settlement discussions, and alternative dispute resolution processes, including mediations and arbitrations. Appear in court for hearings, depositions, and trial preparation as needed. Maintain accurate and organized case files, ensuring timely filing and compliance with court rules and deadlines. Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates and expert legal counsel throughout the litigation process. Qualifications: Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school. A minimum of 2 years of experience in construction defect litigation or a related practice area. In-depth knowledge of construction law, construction defects, building codes, and liability.
