Job Description Summary:

The Warehouse Specialist Lead serves as the Munitions Division Site Lead, responsible for overseeing all warehousing operations at the Ammunition Supply Point. This role is crucial for coordinating the receipt, storage, inventory, issue, and disposal of munitions and related materials while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines. The position involves leadership and organizational duties, including planning, scheduling, and overseeing a team to optimize operational efficiency and uphold high company standards. Additionally, the Warehouse Specialist Lead is responsible for maintaining a positive customer interface with military units and supporting environmental, safety, and security requirements.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Munitions Site Lead, coordinating and overseeing the daily operations of the ammunition supply point.
  • Oversee the daily workload and progress of work across a team of warehouse specialists to meet varying workloads and operational goals.
  • Ensure adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and company policies, ensuring the safe and efficient handling of ammunition and non-ordnance materials.
  • Provide work direction, assign tasks, and monitor the progress of work to ensure high-quality standards.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with military units and facilitate exercises or operational needs.
  • Plan weekly and monthly schedules for warehouse operations, ensuring optimal efficiency and resource allocation.
  • Oversee and execute tasks related to stock control, receipt, issue, turn-in, packing, shipping, and inventory management of munitions.
  • Coordinate equipment periodic and unscheduled maintenance actions to ensure proper function and safe use of assigned material handling equipment (MHE).
  • Participate in warehouse maintenance and the cleanup of work areas to maintain a safe and organized environment.
  • Manage hazardous material/waste handling and ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and security standards in accordance with applicable directives.
  • Perform required documentation and inventory tracking for ammunition and non-ordnance materials.
  • Operate MHE and non-tactical vehicles to transport munitions and materials safely as required.



Requirements:

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in munitions and warehouse operations.
  • Ability to achieve a favorable Personnel Reliability Program background screen (DA Form 7708).
  • Possession of a valid state driver’s license.
  • Certification to operate Powered Industrial Equipment (PIT) and Material Handling Equipment (MHE) as required.
  • Ability to obtain the following certifications as assigned:
  • AMMO-31, AMMO-45, AMMO-63, AMMO-64, AMMO-67, AMMO-68, AMMO-75, AMMO-76, AMMO-108, and AMMO-112.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 5 years of Army ammunition experience and warehousing preferred.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Willingness to work overtime as required.
  • Ability to adapt to various outdoor environmental conditions, including exposure to hazardous materials.


Physical Demands:

  • Ability to lift and move heavy objects (50+ lbs), as well as push, pull, carry, stoop, bend, squat, climb, and reach.
  • Work primarily in an outdoor environment with exposure to heat, dust, cold, and inclement weather.
  • Participation in warehouse maintenance and cleanup activities.
