As the Principal Software Engineer, you will spearhead the development of a customer-facing actionable marketing data insights platform. Collaborating with stakeholders across product, engineering, and business teams, you'll create cloud-hosted solutions for large-scale data processing and real-time applications. You'll lead a team of engineers, providing guidance on best practices while driving technical discussions and delivering on engineering commitments. Key Responsibilities Architect and Propose Solutions:
Design and propose new solutions that address complex engineering challenges and leverage cloud-based architectures.
Team Leadership:
Lead and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring adherence to architectural and coding standards.
Technical Collaboration:
Drive discussions with internal and external partners, translating product requirements into engineering deliverables.
Implementation and Deployment:
Guide the team through the implementation, testing, and deployment phases.
Reliability Oversight:
Own the reliability process-from resolving production incidents to setting up automation to prevent future occurrences.
What You Bring Hands-On Coding:
Proficiency in Java, Scala, and Python.
Large-Scale Data Processing:
Proven experience with large-scale data pipelines, data management, and analysis.
AI Expertise:
Hands-on experience building AI agents, working with LLM models, and leveraging related tools.
Architectural Leadership:
Strong ability to articulate and propose complex architectural solutions while influencing stakeholders.
Web Fundamentals:
Expertise in JavaScript, TypeScript, and frameworks such as Node.js. Strong Linux fundamentals are a plus.
Project Leadership:
Demonstrated ability to lead and document highly technical projects from inception to completion.
Production Reliability:
Experience troubleshooting production issues, conducting RCAs, and improving reliability through automation.
Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of marketing platforms and search engine optimization (SEO).
Familiarity with Search Generative Experience (SGE) and e-commerce applications.
Experience working with both commercial and open-source marketing tools.
