In the role of GIS Technician, we'll count on you to:
Conduct spatial analyses and prepare maps using ArcGIS
Perform data input and editing of spatial and tabular data using ArcGIS Pro and ArcGIS Online
Support field data collection using mobile GIS/GPS equipment
Follow documented technical procedures
Perform other duties as needed
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience Experience working with GPS field equipment and conducting field surveys Experience in working with Esri field data collection tools Field Maps and Survey 123 Experience working with GIS geodatabases using federal, state, and local industry data models Ability to create GIS Analytical and visual applications using ArcGIS Dashboards and Experience Builder Demonstrated ability to meet project deadlines Required Qualifications
Associates degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Science or closely related field, or a combination of education and relevant experience Practical experience with editing, database development, and map production in ArcGIS Experienced with Microsoft 365 Apps Requires attention to detail, reliability, and ability to work with a team Good written and oral communication skills a plus An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must What We Believe HDR is our company.
