Description
HDR is in search of an experienced Senior Geographic Information System (GIS) Analyst. This individual will use their experience to conduct complex and detailed analyses, provide decision supports relevant to environmental analyses and community resilience relevant to climate change effects like flooding, heat, and equitable access to community facilities as well as support an interesting array of projects across water, wastewater, transportation, and natural resources often using large data sets.

Primary Responsibilities
Lead GIS tasks for multidisciplinary projectsIndependently organize, conceptualize, and conduct large, advanced spatial analyses using Esri ArcGISDevelop vector and raster spatial analysis models using Spatial ModelBuilder, Python or other GIS scripting languages.Develop geodatabase schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goalsDevelop and support web GIS applications within ArcGIS Online platform (Experience Builder, Dashboards, Story Maps, Hub, Fields Maps, and Survey 123)Create maps, databases, and other deliverables on short noticeCommunicate and collaborate with individuals from a wide variety of backgrounds, both technical and non-technical to effectively employ GISPerform other duties as needed#LI-JS6
Preferred Qualifications
Extensive experience with Esri ArcGIS Online solutions including Experience Builder, Web App Builder, Dashboards, Story MapsExtensive experience in map generation and data visualizationExperience with mobile data workflowsExpertise in data gathering and analysis, including statistics and geostatisticsProblem-solving skills with attention to detail and effective time managementAbility to multi-task, stay organized and responsive to meet ambitious client deadlinesAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to lead and participate as an active participant in a positive and constructive team environmentExpert knowledge in enterprise and web Esri GIS Systems (Portal/AGOL), data analysis, geodatabase schemas, model flows, map generation and dashboards as communication tools Esri certificationsGISP, AICP, PE or other professional certification a plusExperience with administrating ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS EnterpriseExperience with Esri GeoBIM, Urban, Indoors, Utility Network a plusExperience with water resources project/programsExperience with resiliency and vulnerability assessmentsExperience with environmental support (NEPA, permitting, other regulatory processes)Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Geography, Planning, Engineering, Natural Sciences, or closely related fieldA minimum of 8 years of practical GIS experience; an advanced degree in relevant field may offset 4 years of experienceProficient in use of ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS extensions e.g., 3D Analyst, Spatial Analyst etc.Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365 AppsExperience with ETL tools (FME) and other advanced analyst tools e.g., Arcade, ArcGIS NotebooksExperience with Esri Solutions and ProductsExcellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to write reports that summarize spatial analyses and communicate findings with charts, tables, and narrativeAbility to serve as a GIS project leader including development of technical approach, scheduling, and quality assuranceContinuous technical currencyAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
