Holland Public Schools, located in Holland Michigan. The district has four elementary schools, one middle school and one high school and has an enrollment of approximately 3000 students. We offer a dual language immersion program in Spanish in grades K-8. Holland Public Schools has a diverse student population with approximately 47% Latinx, 9% Black, 6% Mulitracial, 3 % Asian and 35% White and approximately 64% free and reduced lunch.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders that impede access to or progress within the school environment per MARSE guidelines. Develop and implement effective individualized Education Programs (IEP's). Provide counseling to students and student's families about results of testing and recommended treatment options. Establish understanding, expectations, and goals for treatment with caseload students. Create accurate documentation and reporting for all student therapeutic treatment including Medicaid billing. Maintain communication with school staff and community-based providers/collaborators. Work to maintain ongoing supports with general education teaching staff through activities like Child Study Team. This role requires partnership with other diagnostic team members as well as general education and special education teaching staff.

QUALIFICATIONS: Master's degree from an approved college or university in speech and language. Current ASHA (American Speech-Language Hearing Association) certification Current licensure as a Speech and Language Pathologist through the Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA) of Michigan. Active CPI certification or an understanding that certification or re-certification is required during this upcoming academic year. Ability to work well with students, staff and parents. Ability to demonstrate mature judgment and moral and ethical behavior. Ability to project a positive outlook, manner and appearance. Must meet the requirement of School Safety Legislation - 2005 PA 139, 138 - Complete FBI fingerprints required.
