with civil experience relating to railways/transit in the

New York City, NY & Newark, NJ

area. The ideal candidate has

years

of experience in the procurement of government contracts in a construction setting, as well as a

Bachelor's Degree

from an accredited college or university with a major in business administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

include, but are not limited to, the following: Prepare and issue competitive solicitations for construction, consultant services, and goods and services. Track productivity and technical execution of assigned procurement staff. Assign and reassign staff to meet company and project needs. Work together with procurement team, suppliers, vendors, and contractors to ensure the efficient and sustainable implementation of project management procedures across large-scale civil construction projects. Coordinate and facilitate the procurement process; collaborating with clients, project management, and other departments as needed. Assist in the development of procurement policies and procedures. Work closely with internal stakeholders to identify and define procurement requirements and specifications. Prioritize conflicting needs; handle matters expeditiously; and follow through on projects to successful completion. Other related duties and tasks as required Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree

in b usiness administration, Supply Chain Management, or related

required, advanced degree is a plus. Minimum of

5 years

of experience in the procurement of government contracts in a construction setting. Experience with federal (FTA and FRA) and state procurement regulations and procedures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software. Prior experience with rail, tunnel, structural, station, or soil construction is preferred. Ability to pass a TWIC and/or SWAC Background Check at High Level. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
