Position Summary

Under supervision of the AVP of Enrollment, this counselor will serve as the primary transfer, adult, and international student admission counselor for the Office of Admission.

1. Recruit and enroll prospective transfer, adult, and international students

a. Read and evaluate Applications for Admission b. Travel to community colleges to recruit prospective students c. Perform interviews, phone calls, and primary counseling for students and families d. Build relationships with community college advisors e. Conduct information sessions and interviews for campus visitors on days as assigned by the Office of Admission f. Travel extensively (approx 6-8 weeks in Fall) for Admission related events. Must be comfortable working and traveling independently with, at times, little supervision g. Attend all on-campus recruitment events and open houses over the course of the recruitment year 2. Support local recruitment of undergraduate students

a. Travel to local high schools and college fairs and interact with prospective students and families

b. Build relationships with high school and independent counselors in local area

3. Submit weekly activity report to Director of Recruitment for discussion in weekly one-on-one to be collected and tracked through admission cycle. 4. Other duties as assigned
