A law firm seeks an experienced Employment Litigation Associate to join its team in Los Angeles. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of experience in employment litigation, particularly on the defense side, and demonstrate strong case management skills. This role requires an individual with sharp legal strategy abilities, excellent communication and writing skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Duties

Represent clients in employment litigation matters, managing cases from inception to resolution. Provide legal counsel and strategic advice on defense-related employment disputes. Draft, review, and revise legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and discovery requests. Research and analyze complex legal issues related to employment law. Collaborate with internal teams to develop case strategies and legal approaches. Attend court hearings, depositions, and settlement discussions. Maintain regular client communication, providing updates and advising on case progress. Requirements

At least five years of experience in employment litigation, with a focus on defense. Proven ability to manage complex cases, including all aspects of litigation from start to finish. Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills, with a demonstrated ability to craft persuasive legal arguments. Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to present cases effectively in court and negotiate with opposing parties. Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team. High attention to detail and organizational skills. Experience with large law firms (Am Law 100 experience) and/or a background as a graduate from a Top 30 law school is a plus. Education

Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school. Certifications

Active membership in the California State Bar. Skills

Extensive experience in employment litigation, including defense cases. Strong case management and strategic thinking abilities. Proficient in legal research and writing. Effective communicator with strong negotiation skills. Capable of working independently and as part of a team. High level of professionalism and attention to detail.
