PRACTICE SPECIFICS – On the Outpatient Side (roughly half-time)

Our ideal candidate would be a flexible team player, looking to maintain a mix of both outpatient and inpatient medicine.

On the Outpatient side

Roughly 8 days of clinic, spread over 3 weeks

Broad Primary Care Practice

Multispecialty Clinic with support from specialists and ancillary services

Clinic site has 5 Family Physicians

No OB, but prenatal care is an option

Telephone call 1:26, peds call only

16-22 patients per day

This position is to prepare for anticipated retirements

On the Inpatient side

Half-time Hospitalists work 1, 7-on shift, per month.

Day shift, only

Partner with existing Hospitalist Program of both full and half-time providers.

Schedule – 12 hours shifts with 2-3 weeks of nights; rest of the shifts are days.

Hospitalists will cover ICU, with consultative intensivist support.

Total number of physicians in specialty currently in department at practice site: 7. The practice is fully staffed with 8-9 hospitalists.

Average inpatient practice volume per day: Med Surg-71 / ICU-10; divided between 3-4 rounding hospitalist, who also share admissions. Average daily census on unit: 50-60

Board Certified/Board Eligible - Family Medicine or Internal Medicine

125 miles north of Minneapolis/St. Paul

Brainerd Lakes Area population: 65,000; Regional service area: 115,000

COMPENSATION

$300,317 - $337,000. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
