Job Description

PURPOSE OF POSITION

The Level III Psychologist assumes a leadership role as the lead psychologist for Adult Inpatient Programs in clinical and administrative responsibilities, collaborates with senior leadership to identify the areas of focus, provides consultations to other disciplines, provides direct assessment, evaluations, and treatment to behavioral health patients and collaborates with the multidisciplinary team in planning and providing care in various modalities under general supervision, provides clinical supervision to mental health trainees

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: •Provides clinical supervision to Level I and Level II psychologists and psychology interns. •Oversees psychodiagnostic assessment for patients •Provides and coordinates training opportunities for Level I and Level II psychologist and interns. •Collaborates with other discipline leaders to provide Inservice education opportunities •Performs crisis screenings and intake evaluations •Participates in multidisciplinary treatment management team, attending Staff and Team Meetings, etc. •Serves as a consultant to multidisciplinary treatment team regarding psychological assessment, performs psychological, neuropsychological, and/or psycho-educational evaluations as needed. •Performs related duties such as quality assurance activities, representation as administrative meetings, etc., as assigned by the Chief of Psychiatry

Minimum Qualifications 1. Valid license and current registration to practice as a Psychologist issued by the NYSED; and 2. Two (2) years of post-licensure experience, one (1) year of which must have been post-licensure supervisory experience; or three (3) years of post-licensure experience; and 3. Completion of the NYC Health + Hospitals Supervisory training within three (3) months of appointment.
