Job Introduction
DailyMail.com is seeking an experienced features writer to join the newly constituted Mail+ team in our New York City office. This is an in-office position and a 9-hour shift Monday to Friday but applicants must be willing to work flexible hours and shifts as news arises.
Your responsibilities will include: Speedily writing 1000-1400 word articles (subject matters will cover celebrity, crime, health, politics and other news-driven topics) Regularly pitching exposs, interviews and traditional feature ideas Working with photo editors to compose images to illustrate articles Building articles in a content management system We are seeking a professional with the following experience:
At least 3-5 years working as a feature writer at a newspaper, news website or magazine Knowledge of the DailyMail.com brand, editorial voice and audience Specific experience covering crime, celebrity, showbiz and/or politics is a plus Knowledge of online research tools
